New York’s Clean Energy Standard
June 7, 2017 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Last year, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) approved the state’s bold Clean Energy Standard, which had been proposed by Governor Andrew Cuomo and then fleshed out by the PSC and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The Clean Energy Standard will require 50 percent of New York’s electricity to come from renewable energy sources like wind and solar by 2030 and it is also designed to help sustain the ongoing operations of several of the state’s nuclear power plants. Implementation planning is well underway.
In this webinar, guest speakers from NYSERDA explained the Clean Energy Standard and how it will be implemented.
Panelists:
- Doreen Harris, Director for Large Scale Renewables, NYSERDA
- Abbey DeRocker, Senior Project Manager, NYSERDA
- Warren Leon, Executive Director, Clean Energy States Alliance (Moderator)
This webinar was presented by CESA for the RPS Collaborative.
