Equitable Solar Communities of Practice: Resilience, Storage, and Grid Benefits
October 8, 2024 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET
The Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technology Office (SETO) launched the Equitable Solar Communities of Practice program in November 2023 to support the expansion of equitable benefits in solar adoption. The program consists of five communities of practice that work to identify resource gaps, support the development and dissemination of best practices and resources, and identify and propose new resources, tools, technical assistance offerings needed to scale equitable solar.
The Resilience, Storage, and Grid Benefits community of practice focuses on topics such as supporting household- and community-level resilience, grid strengthening and grid-level resilience, and improved health outcomes through reduced or shortened power outages.
On October 8, 2024, SETO held a webinar to explore the best practices and lessons learned from the Resilience, Storage, and Grid Benefits Community of Practice. The presentation covered topics related to supporting household- and community-level resilience, grid strengthening and grid-level resilience, and improved health outcomes through reduced or shortened power outages. Clean Energy Group Project Director Marriele Mango presented.
