CDFA Webinar: New Models of Financing Energy Efficiency
September 17, 2013 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
CDFA will host a webinar on September 17, 2013 at 1 pm EDT on a new development in clean energy finance.
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) recently issued $24.3 million Qualified Energy Conservation Bonds to finance loans for residential energy efficiency improvements. This “first of its kind” innovative financing was backed with a guarantee from the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation because it was determined these retrofits would ultimately reduce fossil fuel combustion and related air pollutants being emitted and deposited into New York State’s water bodies. During this installment of the CDFA-BNY Mellon Development Finance Webcast Series, we have joined forces with the Clean Energy + Bond Finance Initiative to bring the experts behind this deal together to discuss how the project was conceived, the structure of the financing, and how the energy efficiency improvements will be implemented. Join the discussion to learn how this new model of energy efficiency financing could be replicated in your community.
