Resilient Power Project Webinar: Fuel Cells for Educational Facilities
October 8, 2015 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Colleges and universities have facilities for students, faculty, administration, and maintenance crews that typically include dormitories, cafeterias, gyms, libraries, and athletic departments. Furthermore, schools that house swimming pools typically have large electrical and thermal loads. These loads are attractive applications for fuel cells to serve both the electrical and thermal requirements. In the event of a grid power failure, educational institutions may be used as emergency shelters. Schools may also use fuel cells as an educational learning opportunity.
In this webinar, panelists discussed the technical and economic advantages of using fuel cell technologies as a solution for providing reliable, resilient power to educational facilities, such as colleges, universities, and high schools.
Panelists:
- Kent McCord, Doosan Fuel Cells America
- Kenneth Frisbie, Biofuels Energy LLC
- Erik Robie, United Illuminating Company
